Afternoon : Get together with light finger snacks, canapés, olives, nuts and       Cheeses – soft drinks, wine, fresh juices etc.
Meet the Guides for a short overview of the various excursions and a little bit of orthodoxy history.

Later, start an Orientation & Panoramic City Tour through the New Town. Drive around the Old Town Walls, over Monte Smith Hill, with stops at the Rhodes Acropolis and Ancient Stadium – Here we will take a group photo and have a short devotional.

Morning departure from the Hotel to visit some exceptional Churches and Monasteries! Some of the monasteries that will be visited are
a)    Moni Thari – Here we will arrange some refreshments as well as an opportunity for a short devotional
b)    Panayias Paramythias –
c)    Panayias Skiadenis –
d)    Agiou Nektariou Krioneriou – again some refreshments here
e)    The medieval church of Foutoukli – see some frescoes dating back the 3rd and 4th century!
f)    Profitis Ilias – enjoy the lush green surroundings
g)    Panayias Tsambikas

In the afternoon, continue with the visit of the Churches and Monasteries.

Morning departure from the Hotel to visit some authentic villages
Some of the villages that will be visited are
a)     Kremasti – Here we will visit the Church of the Virgin Mary.
b)    The fishing village of Kamiros Skala – a coffee stop to admire the view of the harbour, etc
c)    The village of Psinthos with its exceptional square
d)    The village of Apollona – a short visit to the folklore museum
e)    The village of Embona – here we will visit the wine factory for some wine tasting and enjoy a superb BBQ lunch

22.00 Hrs : Depart to the Evangelismos Church situated on Mandraki Harbour,     to experience how the ladies start preparing the church and the ‘tomb’ of Jesus

Back to the hotel around 24.00 H.

07:30 Hrs      Breakfast starts at the Hotel  - Because we had a late evening the guests will have a free morning to recuperate and to relax, before we start the afternoon and evening activities

Afternoon departure from the Hotel for the City Tour including a visit to the Palace of the Knights and the Street of the Knights
There will be some free time for shopping or just enjoying the sights and sounds of this amazing Medieval Town.

19.00 Hrs :  Dinner for everyone at the Hotel - Free time until the departure for the Friday evening procession

20:30 Hrs  :    As the procession in the Medieval City is very impressive, we will join the procession there

Around 23:00 Hrs  :    Transfer back to the Hotel

07:30 Hrs      Breakfast starts at the Hotel  - This will be a complete free day for the group, until the evening events start.

23:00 Hrs :    Transfer to the Evangelismos Church for the resurrection service, the utmost highlight of the Orthodox Easter celebrations. The guests will each receive a candle and a painted egg, before the departure from the Hotel

24:00 Hrs  :   The Priest appears with the “holy light” which has been flown in from Israel earlier during the day. Every person at church will lit his candle from the same fire of the person standing next to him/her. So the first couple of persons closest to the Priest will lit their candles from the Priests’ candle and then the rest of the people lit their candles from the person next to him. This is also the time that everyone cracks their egg with a “neighbor,” the person next to you. You crack the top of your egg against the top of your neighbor’s egg. The egg that did not crack is the winning egg.

01:00 Hrs      Resurrection dinner at the Hotel – Mageritsa soup, lamb, etc

Morning departure to Filerimos for a devotional amid the 12 stations of the Passion of Christ – the steps to Golgotha

The long awaited Easter lunch is served at the Hotel. This festivity includes the lambs on the spit, salads, desserts, wine, the music and Greek dancers. Some more painted eggs and biscuits and a lot of merriment.
The rest of the afternoon and evening at leisure – you will be too tired to do anything in any case
